SHIPLAP
Shiplap’s versatility makes it one of our most popular products. It can be used almost anywhere. From barns, sheds, patios, and garages, to finished interior accent walls, bathrooms and kitchens. The list goes on. If you can dream it, Shiplap can do it. It adds a cozy intimate feel to any home instantly and is also flexible enough to help creatively construct signs, sliding doors and furniture. Traditional shiplap has a rabbet joint or groove cut into the top and bottom of the board. This joint allows for two pieces of shiplap to fit together closely to form a seal creating more strength. It also creates a stylistic little shadow or gap in between that adds natural dimension instantly.
Shiplap We Carry
Being that most of our lumber comes from North and South Carolina, the majority of our lumber is Southern Yellow Pine. We offer shiplap in both natural and pre-finished options in widths of 1×6 (5″ coverage) and 1×8 (6.5″ coverage) and lengths of 6-16 feet. Choose from rough or smooth-faced, cull #2 or D-grade.
Most of our locations offer other species of shiplap as well. This includes Cypress, Spruce, Eastern White Pine, Cedar, and Poplar. Availability and pricing of these materials varies from location to location. Please reach out to the store nearest you and feel free to see what variety shiplap they have to offer.
